AFTERCARE
Eyelash Extension Aftercare
Remember your natural lashes grow and shed approximately 3 lashes per day so you will require a maintenance appointment usually every 2 weeks if you wish to keep them looking their best.
Do’s:
Avoid getting lashes wet for at least 24 hours, including steam and sweat – this time is crucial for the glue to set.
Comb lashes daily, after waking up and after showering, to keep them neat and tidy and to avoid criss-cross lashes.
Clean your lashes daily with oil free cleanser – Clean lashes last longer and avoids eye infections.
Book regular maintenance appointments to keep them looking beautiful.
Arrive at your lash appointments on time and with clean lashes – uncleaned lashes will either result in removal for client safety or less lashing time due to the cleaning time needed.
Don’ts:
Try your best not to sleep on your face.
Do not pull, pick or rub your eyelash extensions, if you do this could result in pulling out your own lashes!
Avoid oil based products on the lashes, including cleansers, eye creams, liquid and gel eyeliner.
NO MASCARA! Mascara will ruin your lovely lashes and cannot be fixed so they will need removing.
Do not use an eyelash curler on your extensions.
Do not try to remove lash extensions yourself, either let them fall out naturally or return for a professional removal.
Be careful when near heat such as ovens, BBQ’s and lighters – excessive heat can result in frazzled lashes.
Please let us know prior to your appointment if you have lost more lashes then expected so we can do our best to book you a longer maintenance appointment or a new full set if necessary.
Not following the aftercare can result in lashes not lasting as long as expected.
Waxing Aftercare
To prevent any reaction from the waxing keep the area cool.
Avoid heat and direct sunlight, tight clothing, hot showers or baths, self-tanning, perfumed products and intense exercise for 24 hours.
If redness does occur this can be treated with a cold compress and aloe vera.
Tanning Aftercare
If you’ve had our classic tan it is recommended to be left on for 8 hours.
In this time do not get the tan wet or apply any products to the skin, do not do any exercise and wear loose dark clothing.
When rinsing the tan off let the shower rinse the guide colour away till the water runs clean and continue your shower as normal.
Keep for your skin hydrated with a body moisturiser, this will help prolong the tan.
If you’ve had our express tan, was the tan off after 2 hour for a light tan, 3 hours for a medium tan and 4+ hours for a dark tan. Once washed off the tan will continue to develop over the next 8 hours.
LVL Aftercare
For the first 48 hours, make sure your LVL lashes don’t get wet and avoid any steam, swimming, or washing your face with hot water.
It’s vital for maintaining that beautiful lift while your lashes lock into place.
Afterwards, you can dive in with confidence.
